Perdition Penal Facility
Perdition houses thousands upon thousands of inmates in several massive underground complexes walled with black metal and stone. The moon’s extensive ore-processing facilities likewise lie below the crippling cold of the surface. The moon is a desolate wasteland of ice split by jagged mountains and lashed by vicious, snow-filled winds. The flaming tops of monolithic smokestacks rise from the surface. The previous record for an escape attempt was 14 minutes.
Col. Jedak Rejovic cares nothing for the inmate’s living conditions and lets the cellblocks fall into disrepair. Pervasive rust and grime transform the already bleak netherworld into a squalid purgatory. Presently, a virulent flu infects more than half of the guards (and many inmates) in this closed community, gravely weakening Perdition’s security.
The crew was able to take advantage of this decrease in security when Col. Rejovich brought them here in his plot to overthrow his mining competitor. They managed to steal a ship and make their escape, leaving the facility crippled. When they left, all the prisoners in Cellblocks R7 and R8 had been released and were rioting. Col. Rejovics two lackeys were both killed while attempting to prevent the crew from escaping, but Rejovic fled across the surface of the moon in an atmo suit rather than face the crew’s revenge.
